A peak inside my sketchbook of late . . .
I have seen this man a few times sleeping in one of our Starbucks in town. He is either homeless or very down on his luck. I think it is easy is my town, which has a very small town feeling, it is easy to forget how many people struggle. I toured our homeless shelter last week and it was sobering. As I set sipping my coffee I just couldn't shake the feeling that I should take a few minute and reflect. This sketch is my prayer for all the people that find themselves without a place to rest. May they know they are loved and find a place to rest soon. Also, I love that our Starbucks lets this man find rest in their store. It is a small act of kindness that means so much.
